Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our AWS cloud infrastructure. As an AWS Cloud Architect, you will play a crucial role in shaping our cloud strategy, ensuring the scalability, security, and performance of our AWS solutions. Responsibilities:

• AWS Solution Design:

Architect end-to-end solutions on the AWS platform, aligning with business requirements and objectives.

Design and implement well-architected frameworks, ensuring reliability, availability, and scalability.

Define and enforce AWS architectural patterns, reference architectures, and best practices.

• Cloud Migration and Deployment:

Lead AWS migration projects, assessing existing systems and planning seamless transitions to the cloud.

Develop migration strategies, select appropriate AWS services, and execute migration plans.

Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation or other relevant tools.

• Security and Compliance:

Implement robust security measures, identity and access management, and encryption for data protection.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and AWS security best practices.

Conduct security assessments, implement intrusion detection, and respond to security incidents.

• Performance Optimization:

Architect solutions for high availability, load balancing, and auto-scaling to meet performance demands.

Monitor AWS resources, analyze performance metrics, and optimize configurations for efficiency.

Implement caching, content delivery networks (CDNs), and other techniques to enhance application performance.

• Cost Management:

Design cost-effective solutions by optimizing AWS resource usage, leveraging pricing models, and rightsizing.

Monitor AWS spending, provide cost analysis, and recommend strategies to control and reduce costs.

Implement AWS Budgets and Cost Explorer to manage and forecast expenses.

• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

Design and implement robust disaster recovery plans using AWS services such as AWS Backup and AWS Disaster Recovery.

Conduct regular testing and drills to ensure data recovery readiness and minimize downtime.

• Collaboration and Documentation:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and foster AWS adoption.

Create comprehensive architectural documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and deployment procedures.

Mentor and provide leadership to junior cloud engineering staff.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience as an AWS Cloud Architect, with a strong focus on Amazon Web Services.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services, networking, security, and architectural principles.
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional) are highly desirable.
