Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Microsoft Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of our Azure cloud environment. As a Cloud Architect, you will play a pivotal role in transforming our IT infrastructure, optimizing workloads, and ensuring the scalability, security, and performance of our cloud solutions. Your deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, best practices, and architecture design will be crucial in driving innovation and enabling digital transformation.

Responsibilities:

  • Azure Solution Design:

Architect end-to-end solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform, aligning with business goals and requirements.

Design resilient, scalable, and cost-effective architectures that leverage Azure services effectively.

Define architecture blueprints, reference architectures, and design patterns for various application types.

  • Cloud Migration and Deployment:

Lead cloud migration efforts, assessing on-premises systems and planning seamless transitions to Azure.

Develop migration strategies, selecting appropriate Azure services, and executing migration plans.

Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and automate deployment processes for efficient provisioning.

  • Security and Compliance:

Implement robust security measures, identity and access management, and encryption for data protection.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and Azure security best practices.

Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scanning, addressing identified risks.

  • Performance Optimization:

Architect solutions for high availability, load balancing, and auto-scaling to meet performance requirements.

Monitor Azure resources and services, optimizing configurations for optimal performance.

Implement caching, content delivery networks (CDNs), and other optimizations to enhance user experience.

  • Cost Management:

Design cost-efficient solutions, making effective use of Azure pricing models and resources.

Monitor and analyze Azure spending, recommending cost-saving strategies and optimizing resource allocation.

Implement tagging and budget controls to manage costs effectively.

  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

Design and implement disaster recovery plans and strategies using Azure Site Recovery and backup services.

Conduct regular testing and simulations to ensure data recovery readiness and minimize downtime.

  • Collaboration and Documentation:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and drive Azure adoption.

Create detailed architecture documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and deployment procedures.

Mentor and provide guidance to junior cloud engineering staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Architect with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure services, networking, security, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure automation, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., ARM templates, Terraform).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
